Bucs GM wants QB Freeman to sit and learn
According report by the St. Petersburg Times, Buccaneers GM Mark Dominik wants rookie QB Josh Freeman to sit and learn as much as possible. It has been reported recently that Freeman will face competetion for the starting job in the training camp, as it was indicated by coach Raheem Morris and quarterbacks coach Greg Olson.
“The ultimate goal is to let Josh Freeman sit back and learn,” Dominik said Saturday.
“I still think he’s a 21-year-old quarterback who came out as a true junior,” Dominik said of Freeman. “You’d like for him to grow and mature into his role and not be forced into it.”
The Buccaneers also showed interest in receiver Plaxico Burress, but not much enough to make a decision on him yet. Dominik has said that he was confident with the receivers they already have.
